surface exploration
sketches and fragments from my studio
This section is a snapshot of the process behind the sculptural work. Material experimentation plays a central role for my work, at the moment I'm experimenting with surface ideas to develop and inform new sculptural pieces. I make my own stencils and stamps to indent into the clay as well as using household items. I love using oxides to work into the groves and highlight texture further. I also use paper for collage and mono printing.
